DONATION OF CLOTHING, FURNITURE, & HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
Sept. 2024 - Networks Ministries is taking donations once again!
Donations of Furniture and Household Items
We accept donations of clothing furniture and various household items. We also accept donations of crafts supplies, tools, and building materials for our makerspace. There are times when we will take a temporary break from receiving donations, of clothing and household items, when we need to get caught up. If you want to be sure that we are receiving donations please check back at our website here or our Facebook page Networks Ministries
Clothing & Household items: As we do not have the capacity to wash or clean donated items we ask that you please bring items in clean and presorted. Please ensure that all items (including clothing, bedding, housewares) are washed and in good usable condition, small appliances are in good working condition and have all attachments and power cords, household items are presorted and gone through to dispose of anything that we are not able to pass onto our clients for use. If you are cleaning out your storage, spring cleaning, or clearing out an estate please go through your boxes before dropping them off. In these situations we often have family valuables that end up being donated without any way of tracking down the owner, or items donated that are not in usable condition.
At this time, we do not accept baby car seats/booster seats, bath toys, or exersaucers (there are some great sites on FB for parents/caregivers in the community that you can post these items on to further support those in need). We also do not accept underwear or undergarments unless they are in excellent or unused condition for sanitary reason.
Furniture Program: Our furniture program is set up to serve registered clients of Networks Ministries. Due to logistical issues and limited space we are only able to take the following pieces of furniture:
- medical equipment
- beds (*no king beds)
- kitchen tables and chairs
- couches and armchairs
- dressers
We have streamlined our furniture program to cover essential items only, we understand that the need for furniture may be greater than the list we have provided. We thank you very much for your support and consideration as we strive to make our furniture program a success.
Drop off times:
When we are accepting donations (please see above), they can be dropped off during our regular operating hours.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10 am-2 pm
Drop off location: Donations can be brought in through the front door, to the end of the hall is a big wood bin where bags of cloths and boxes of household items can be put. Please ask for assistance with any items that do not fit in our donation bin, as we need to keep our hallways and doorways clear.
- Thrifty Fridays & Saturdays 10am-3pm
Drop off location: Please check in with Thrift Store attendant before leaving donations. Donations cannot be left in the entryway or outside the building at any time.
**Please do not leave donations outside as they are often rummaged through and scattered around the building.
We appreciate the generosity of our local community in supporting the work we do!
