Good Food Box (GFB) Program Overview
The Good Food Box (GFB) program provides free, fresh produce to registered clients twice a month on the first and third Thursday, year-round. On each distribution day, an average of 66 boxes are prepared and handed out, supporting approximately 200 individuals and totaling 1,584 boxes annually.
The program serves individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, including those living on low income or below the poverty threshold. We believe everyone should be able to have access to healthy food, regardless of financial challenges.
Operating out of the Networks Ministries facility, most clients pick up their boxes in person, while 14 boxes are delivered directly to seniors and individuals with mobility challenges who are unable to leave their homes.
This initiative is a long-standing partnership between Networks Ministries and the Dawson Creek Co-op, who have supported the program since 2014.

Supporting the Good Food Box: How You Can Help
The Good Food Box program is made possible through the collaboration of Networks Ministries, the Dawson Creek Co-op, our sponsors, donors, and a dedicated team of volunteers. Fresh produce is supplied by the Dawson Creek Co-op and assembled on-site by volunteers, who also manage distribution.
Boxes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with the exception of home deliveries. We gratefully acknowledge the Dawson Creek Society for Community Living for their partnership in providing delivery services for homebound clients. We also extend our appreciation to our committed volunteers who generously give their time to pack and distribute boxes each distribution day. The program requires approximately eight volunteers to operate each GFB day.
The cost to operate the Good Food Box program is approximately $15 per box, or $360 per household annually, with an overall annual program cost of approximately $23,800. We sincerely thank ARC Resources for their generous sponsorship of the Good Food Box program since 2024, helping make this essential service possible.
Community donations play a vital role in sustaining this program. Donations can be made by cash, credit, debit, or e-Transfer. E-transfers may be sent to accounts@networksdc.ca (please specify GFB in the notes section).
First-time donors are asked to email their contact information (full name, address, postal code, and phone number) to the same address to ensure proper receipting.

The Good Food Box Program generally operates on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month.
